Food processing and packaging lines need chains that resist washdown and corrosion and stay easy to clean. UIB Chain supplies stainless steel roller chains in SUS304, SUS316, SUS318 and SUS420 for food processing, washdown and packaging duties, with nickel and zinc plated options for other wet environments.
Food-contact requirements differ by market and by where the chain sits in the line. Tell us the standard that applies to your installation and we will confirm which grades and finishes we can supply against it.
We do not claim food-contact certification for any chain unless it is stated in your quotation.
For selection we also need: washdown chemicals and temperature, chain speed and load, and cleaning method.
Materials: 40Mn carbon steel as standard; SUS304, SUS316, SUS318 and SUS420 stainless steel for corrosion or washdown duties; nickel and zinc plated chains on request.
Standards: ISO 606, ANSI B29.1 (A-series) and DIN 8187 (B-series). Non-standard chains are made to drawing or sample.
Standard sizes are held in stock and ready to ship. Custom chains are produced in 10 to 30 days depending on the specification. Annual export volume is around 1,000,000 metres of roller and conveyor chain.
